Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The traditional international boxing tournament “Strandja” has ended in Bulgaria. This year, 261 boxers from 28 countries, including Uzbekistan, took part in the competition. This year, at the tournament known as the “Small World Boxing Championship,” Uzbek leather glove masters performed successfully.
For the fourth year in a row Uzbek boxers took first place in the team competition. Rakhmatjon Ruziokhunov’s team won 6 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze. Also, Uzbek boxers Sabina Bobokulova (-50 kg) and Khamrobonu Mamadjonova (-57 kg) were awarded gold and bronze medals, respectively.
Thus, the men’s and women’s teams of Uzbekistan completed the Strandja tournament with 14 medals (6 gold, 2 silver and 6 bronze).
