Book about cultural heritage of Uzbekistan presented in Delhi

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A presentation of the 10th volume “Cultural heritage of Uzbekistan in the world’s treasures” was held in the Lala Bahadur Shastri memorial complex in Delhi (India).

Chairman of the India-Uzbekistan friendship society Anil Shastri, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to India Farhod Arziyev and others noted that in our countries with great interest the first state visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to India. The participants of the event expressed confidence that the results of the meetings and negotiations within the framework of the visit will open new prospects for the further development of mutually beneficial relations between the two major states of Central and South Asia.

A series of books "Cultural heritage of Uzbekistan in the treasuries of the world" tells about the samples of the rich and unique spiritual and cultural heritage of our people, stored in famous and popular museums around the world.

Members of the initiative group of the project together with famous Uzbek and Indian scientists began to study samples of the richest cultural heritage of our people in museums, libraries and other treasures of India. The results of scientific research will be included in the new volumes of the series of books.

The presentation of books will also take place at Jawaharlal Nehru University, Jamia Millia University, Jama Masjid Delhi and the Center for Islamic Culture of India.

On 25 September at the National Museum of India opened an exhibition called "India-Uzbekistan: a dialogue of cultures", which will last until 24 October.
