Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A body of a drowned girl was found in Andijan following a mudslide, Uzhydromet said.
On 14 July 2024, heavy rains in the mountains and hills of the Osh region in Kyrgyzstan caused a mudslide.
This led to the destruction of a bridge in the village of Yerkishlok in Khojaabad district of Andijan region, Uzbekistan. No injuries were reported from this incident.
In Andijan, after severe flooding, the body of a girl aged approximately 10-12 years was discovered. The body has been handed over to medical professionals.
Uzhydromet notes that investigations are ongoing and additional information will be provided upon their completion.
