Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- BMB-OPERA ZAFFERANO plans to export saffron worth 10 million euros in 2023. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan.

According to the Ministry, in 2020-2022 the company exported about 2 thousand tons of saffron worth 11.7 million euros.

In particular, in 2020 the export volume amounted to 1.8 million euros, in 2021 – 4.2 million euros and in 2022 – 5.7 million euros.

Saffron is exported to countries such as Italy, Austria, South Korea, USA, Saudi Arabia and Tajikistan.

BMB-OPERA ZAFFERANO grows saffron in Bakhmal district of Jizzakh region. On 5 October, saffron bulbs imported from Italy were planted at the joint venture’s plantations.
