Tour operators of Germany and Switzerland like Studiosus Reisen Munchen, Gebeco, Lernidee Erlebnisreisen, Sicker Reisen, Ventus Reisen, VS Studienreisen, Welweitreisen, ReiseZeit, Indo Orient Tours, Travelteinment AG and Hansaluxtravel AG, as well as specialized publications and insurance agencies participated at the event.

Participants acquainted with current affairs in tourism sector of Uzbekistan, measures undertaken by the government to create favourable conditions to boost tourism and expansion of cooperation with other states, the report said.

The report said that tourism firms of Germany and Switzerland expressed interest in further expansion and deepening of cooperation in tourism and proposed to hold joint presentation of Uzbekistan’s tourism potential in international tourism fair, which will be held in Berlin in March 2009.
