BenQ has voiced its plans regarding Kazakhstan and the neighbouring countries. In particular, BenQ said, as soon as this year, the company intends to become the most preferred brand in the sector of household electronics and IT in Kazakhstan, and later further expand its business in Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, CNews.ru reported.
Starting September 2005, BenQ marketed its products in Kazakhstan through a local company, Alser Computers, one of the five leading companies offering digital solutions in the country. Alser Computers has now become BenQ’s distributor in Kazakhstan. Manish Bakshi, General Manager of BenQ Middle East & Africa said the reason for choosing Alser Computers was the fact that companies already had established cooperation, when BenQ’s annual sales in Kazakhstan doubled. Besides "the closeness of mentalities, ambitious and leading 5 positions of our companies, Alser’s wide retail network spreading to 16 cities of Kazakhstan were the determining factors in the selection of the partner," Bakshi said.
Regarding the technology, which according to BenQ, will make its solutions the leader among other brands, the company will place specific emphasis on the sales of LCD monitors, 46-inch and 65-inch LCD TVs, high resolution projectors, 7-10 megapixel digital cameras, and optical discs.
To achieve the target set, BenQ’s medium-term plans envisage an aggressive advertising campaign of the said goods, with maximums use of billboards, all types of media and presentations. Apart from intensive advertising of the quality of the products, special attention will be given toe the attractive and original design of the solutions, as well as post-sale service.
