Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A fatal accident involving a BelAZ mining dump truck occurred at the Angren coal mine in Tashkent region, resulting in the death of the driver.

The incident took place on March 5 at around 10:15 AM. While unloading rock mass, the truck began moving backward, overturned, and caught fire. Firefighting units from Uzbekugol quickly arrived at the scene and extinguished the blaze.

The truck driver, A. Akhmedjanov, sustained severe injuries. He received first aid on-site and was then transported to the central hospital in Angren. However, despite doctors’ efforts, he could not be saved.

The management of Uzbekugol has expressed condolences to the family of the deceased.

Law enforcement authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
