Belarusian Foreign Minister Visits Surkhandarya Region
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 14 June 2025, on the second day of his official visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhenkov visited the Surkhandarya region.
During the visit, he held talks with regional authorities and the administration of the Termez International Trade Center.
The discussions focused on the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation, including the expansion of supplies of Belarusian products to meet regional needs, as well as their further export to neighboring countries.
The Minister familiarized himself with the range of goods presented at the Termez Trade Center and visited the pavilion showcasing Belarusian products.
The Belarusian delegation also visited the Friendship Bridge — a road and rail crossing over the Amu Darya River connecting Uzbekistan and Afghanistan.
This strategically important infrastructure serves as a key transportation artery between the two countries and is actively used for shipments, including those of Belarusian origin.
