Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Foreign Minister of Belarus Sergei Aleynik took part in the II Forum of Regions of Belarus and Uzbekistan, he visited the Belarusian Embassy in Uzbekistan, where he held a meeting with representatives of the Belarusian Cultural Center “Svitanak” in Tashkent, BELTA reported.

At the meeting, issues of holding joint events dedicated to national holidays and memorable historical dates were discussed. Sergei Aleynik noted the important contribution of the Svitanak BCC to the preservation and popularization of Belarusian traditions, language and culture, as well as the active work of the center with youth. Chairman of “Svitanka” Galina Tatarenko presented the activities of the Belarusian cultural center and presented a photo album published with the support of the Embassy of Belarus in Uzbekistan for the 30th anniversary of the center.

A number of contracts and agreements were signed at the forum. In particular, representatives of the regions and business circles of the two countries agreed to increase cooperation in the field of industrial cooperation, agriculture, processing industry, education, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, and also agreed to develop cooperation in the field of sports and tourism, training for the forestry industry, urban planning and housing -municipal services.
