Belarus, Uzbekistan agree permission quotas for cargo transportation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Transport bodies of Belarus and Uzbekistan agreed permission quotas for international motor transportation, the press service of the Ministry of transport and communication of Belarus said.

The ministry said that the session of the Belarusian-Uzbek mixed commission on international motor transportation was held in Minsk on 23-25 May 2011.

During the meeting, the sides exchange information and statistic data on current state of bilateral cooperation between Belarus and Uzbekistan, including cooperation in international motor transportation. It was noted that cargo transportation by motor transport between Uzbekistan and Belarus increased in 2010 and trade-economic cooperation and transportation continued to grow in 2011.

The delegation also expressed interest in further developing relations for achievement constructive cooperation results, which will allow to strengthen and develop existing relations.

The Belarus delegation underlined necessity to increase number of permissions to carry out international motor transportation in 2011, taking into account growing trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Belarus. The Belarusian side said it is ready to provide necessary number of permissions to the Uzbek side.

After the talks, the sides set preliminary permission quotas for 2012. They also agreed that the quotas can be increased on request of one side.

During the session, the sides exchanged information on conditions of international motor transportation in their respective countries.
