Belarus and Uzbekistan discuss cooperation in pharmaceuticals and healthcare
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 12 February, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Uzbekistan, Alexander Ogorodnikov, met with Uzbekistan’s Minister of Health, Asilbek Khudayarov, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry reported.
During the talks, the parties discussed the current state and future prospects of cooperation in medicine and healthcare.
Special attention was given to Uzbekistan’s study of Belarus’ advanced experience in maternal and child healthcare, as well as collaboration in the pharmaceutical sector, including the localization of Belarusian pharmaceutical production in Uzbekistan.
Another key topic was the completion of a Belarus-Uzbekistan project to establish a Regenerative Medicine Center in Tashkent based at the Republican Blood Transfusion Center. This initiative aims to launch innovative stem cell production.
