Beijing Hosts Talks on Construction of New National Museum of Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held in Beijing between Gayane Umerova, Chairperson of the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan, and Gao Bo, Chairman of China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC).
According to the Foundation, the discussions focused on cooperation in the construction of the new National Museum of Uzbekistan, with the architectural design being developed by world-renowned Japanese architect Tadao Ando.
The project has been officially approved and is intended to become a new cultural landmark of the country, combining historical heritage with contemporary artistic vision.
Particular attention was given to the quality of architectural solutions, the use of durable materials, and the implementation of leading global practices.
The joint efforts are aimed at delivering the project at the highest level, turning the museum into one of the premier cultural centers of Uzbekistan and Central Asia.
