The press service of the operator said that number of subscribers of Beeline reached 10.194 million people in 2012, or grew by 3.833 million people or 60% compared to 2011.
Net operation of revenue of Beeline in Uzbekistan made up US$158 million in the fourth quarter of 2012, or grew by 99% compared to the same period of 2011 (from US$80 million). At the same time, net operation revenue grew by 67% year-on-year to US$463 million in 2012 (US$277 million in 2011).
Corrected EBITDA (Earnings before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization) in Uzbekistan rose by 193% in the fourth quarter compared to the same period of 2011- from US$32.6 million to US$95.4 million. EBIDTA margin rose by 19% percentage points year-on-year.
ARPU (Monthly Average Revenue per User) made up US$5.3 in the fourth quarter of 2012. MOU (Monthly Average Minutes of Use per User) grew by 13% from 458 minutes in the fourth quarter of 2011 to 516 minutes in the fourth quarter of 2012.
Director-General of Unitel Andrei Safronyuk said that last year was difficult for the company and it had to solve difficult tasks in the second half of 2012. He added that the company invested US$137 million to development of its network in 2012. Andrei Safronyuk underlined that the company will continue strategic and long-term investments into Uzbekistan to expand its coverage network and introduction of innovations.
