Beeline revenue in Uzbekistan makes up US$167m in 1Q
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Revenue of Beeline in Uzbekistan made up US$167 million in the first quarter of 2015, which grew by 2.45% compared to the same period of 2014, Vimpelcom Ltd said in its statement.

According to the company, the revenue in mobile communication segment rose by 3.1% year-on-year in January-March 2015 and reached US$166 million. Revenue in fixed-communication segment exceeded US$1 million in the first quarter of 2015 against US$2 million in January-March 2014.

Revenue from data transfer service reached US$34.4 million in the first quarter of 2015, increasing by 12.83% compared to the same period of 2014.

EBITDA (Operating Income before Depreciation and Amortization) in Uzbekistan made up US$105 million in the first quarter 2015, which did not change compared to the first quarter of 2014. At the same time margin of transactions fell by 1.7 percentage points to 62.7%.

Beeline subscriber base in Uzbekistan by the end of the first quarter of 2015 reached 10.4 million people, as in the first quarter of 2014. At the same time, the subscriber base fell by 1.98% compared to the beginning of 2015, when the operator had 10.6 million users.

Average bill for a mobile subscriber per month (ARPU) rose from $5.1 in the first quarter of 2014 to US$5.2 in the same period of 2015. Indicator MOU (minutes of use) reached 491 minutes in January-March 2015 comparison with 465 in the first quarter of 2014.
