The operator said that subscriber base of Unitel LLC, after the Russian Vimpelcom acquired it, grew by 18 times and in the result of the first half of 2012 reached over 7 million.
Unitel director-general Andrei Safronyuk said that the company invested US$300 million to development of its network in 2011-2012. He added that it expanded its 3G coverage over twn times and this year it laid foundation for LTE network.
Beeline holds a leading position in internet services market and it provides internet services on such technologies as WAP, Dial-up, ADSL, GPRS, EDGE (2.5G), UMTS (3G), HSDPA (3.5G) and LTE (4G). The company is also develops FTTB network, which allows to transfer data at 100 Mbps.
The operator said that among its clients are largest companies of Uzbekistan, such as Navoi Mining and Metallurgy Combine, Lukoil, National Bank of Uzbekistan for Foreign Economic Activity, etc.
Beeline also directs money to charity. It directed over 2 billion soums to charity events in 2011-2012. The company supports sports, education, culture, etc.
