The operator said that after VimpelCom acquired Unitel LLC, the subscribers’ base of the company jumped 13 times to 5.35 million at the end of the second quarter of 2011.
Unitel director-general Andrei Safronyuk said the company did a lot during these five years. He said that the company’s capital expenses made up US$66 million in the first half of 2011, which allowed to expand Beeline network by 20%.
He said that the company guarantees affordable prices and high fixed and mobile communication services, as well as broadband Internet.
Beeline holds leading position in internet services market, providing services on such standards as WAP, Dial-up, ADSL, GPRS, EDGE (2.5G), UMTS (3G) and HSDPA (3.5G). The company also develops Fiber To The Building (FTTB) standard.
