Beeline marks fourth anniversary in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Single communication operator Beeline (Unitel LLC and Buzton JV) marked its fourth anniversary since launch of its brand in Uzbekistan.

Currently, Beeline is one of the leaders of telecommunication industry of Uzbekistan. Since Vimpelcom purchased Unitel LLC, the subscribers’ base of the company rose by 10 times and made up 4 million users at the end of the second quarter of 2010.

Andrei Safronyuk, director general of Unitel, said: “Beeline worked in Uzbekistan for four years and as integrated telecom operator – first year. During this time, we made up several steps directed at internetization of the country from updating Click tariff plan to launch of FTTB and 3G networks in Uzbekistan. Today we can guarantee affordable prices and traditional high quality both mobile and fixed communication, as well as broadband Internet.”

Beeline holds leading position in local Internet service market, provided through such technologies as WAP, Dial-up, ADSL and GPRS, EDGE (2.5G), UMTS (3G) and HSDPA (3.5G). The company also actively constructs FTTB network, which allows to transfer data at the speed up of 100 Mbs. In July 2009, the company launched commercial FTTB network in Zarafshan and three months ago the company launched similar network in Uchkuduk.

Beeline Business was selected as single supplier of services to such large enterprises as Lukoil, General Motors Powertrain–Uzbekistan, UzCarlsberg and others. The convergent integrated solutions, presented to corporate clients, have no analogues in the Uzbek market.
