Beeline launches 3G networks across Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Single communication operator Beeline (Unitel LLC and Buzton JV) launched 3G networks in all regions of Uzbekistan, the company said in a statement. Millions of people across Uzbekistan will be able to access broadband mobile Internet at the speed of 7.2 Mbps.

Unitel Director-General Anderi Safranyuk said: “We are proud that we made valuable gift to the citizens of Uzbekistan to the Independence Day of the country. A year ago, we built 3G network in largest cities of Ferghana Valley, now high speed Internet came to all regions of Uzbekistan. I am sure that development of 3G network is important step to internetization of the country.”

Beeline launched the first 3G network in Uzbekistan on 2 December 2008, which was supporting HSPA protocol (High Speed Packet Access).

HSPA standard, supported by 3G network of Unitel, ensures full access to broadband Internet with handsets, supporting 3G network, and 3G modems of Beeline.
