Beeline Complies with Competition Committee Directive, Gives Subscribers Control Over Daily Subscription Fee

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Competition Committee announced that LLC “UNITEL” (Beeline) has fulfilled the directive aimed at protecting the rights and interests of subscribers.

The company implemented the ability for users to independently manage the service “switching to daily subscription fee mode,” making access to telecommunications services more convenient and flexible.

The directive was issued following numerous consumer complaints. During the review of tariff plan conditions, it was found that most plans included automatic activation of the daily subscription fee when there were insufficient funds to deduct the monthly payment. Subscribers, however, had no option to independently disable or enable this service, leading to financial losses and complaints.

In compliance with the directive, the company published instructions for managing the service on its official website and sent SMS notifications to subscribers explaining how to activate or deactivate it.

Now, users can access this function via a USSD code, the Hamby mobile app, the contact center, or Beeline sales offices.

The Competition Committee noted that fulfilling the directive provided subscribers with more convenient and flexible access to services. The agency recommends that users carefully study the service terms and know their rights.
