This time again the organizers – the Fund Forum, IJOD Association and Ustozoda Creative Center – have made sure the biannual fair becomes a treasure trove of unique handmade items revealing Uzbek artisans’ craftsmanship and an important facet of local culture.
The two floors of the Center of National Arts are filled with ceramics, porcelain, jewels, precious metals, chased items and woodwork. Bazar-Art brings together leading craftsmen from all regions of Uzbekistan, and it is here that visitors can learn of the latest trends, listen to specialists’, customers’ and artisans’ opinions and see innovations meets tradition in contemporary decorative arts.
“The cultural ties between Uzbek and Azerbaijani nations have a long history,” says Namik Abbasov, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan. “After visiting this exhibition-fair today and looking at what it offers, I am now more convinced that our nations have so much in common.
Uzbekistan’s rich culture, crafts schools and centuries-old traditions are fascinating. I think this event serves as visual proof to that. The organizers have put a lot of effort into bringing together talented masters in one spot and making this event memorable.”
