Banks uses foreign loans of US$1.04 billion

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Commercial banks of Uzbekistan used foreign credit lines for development of small business and private entrepreneurship for about 1.04 billion in 2018, which is two times compared to 2017, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan said.

The volume of loans provided by foreign banks in 2018 amounted to US$397.9 million and international financial organizations - US$641.4 million.

The main creditors in 2018 were such international financial organizations and foreign banks as the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (US$220.7 million), the State Development Bank of China (US$161.8 million), the Asian Development Bank (US$179.5 million) and Commerzbank (Germany, US$151.6 million).

The most active in use of foreign credit lines were Asaka Bank (US$234.9 million), the National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity (US$216.5 million) and Hamkorbank (US$131.7 million).
