Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In the first half of 2022, the volume of purchases of foreign currency from individuals increased by US$2.33 billion or 70% compared to the same period in 2021.
According to the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, commercial banks purchased foreign currency from individuals in the reporting period in the amount of US$5.66 billion.
Commercial banks sold US$3.72 billion to individuals, which is US$1.71 billion or 85% more than in the same period in 2021.
