Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan may establish new sizes of authorized capital for commercial banks.
A draft law on amending Article 13 of the Law “On Banks and Banking Activity” has been published on the portal for discussing draft regulatory legal acts.
The document was developed by the Central Bank of Uzbekistan. According to the document, it is proposed to set the minimum authorized capital of commercial banks at 200 billion soums from 1 September 2023.
At the same time, this figure will grow to 300 billion soums from April 1, 2024 and to 500 billion soums from 1 January 2025.
Now, the minimum authorized capital of a bank in Uzbekistan should be 100 billion soums.
