The main part of loans was issued to finance priority tasks and projects, which were included to programmes of strategic economic development of Uzbekistan, including to the Programme of the Year of Well-Being and Prosperity.
In the first half of 2013, some 690 billion soums were issued to producers of food products, 740 billion soums – producer of consumer goods, 391.6 billion soums – to development of services and 322.5 billion soums to support businesswomen.
The Central Bank of Uzbekistan said that the commercial banks issued 61.3 billion soums to expand family businesses and craftsmen, 55 billion soums to finance projects of college graduates and 77.5 billion soums to farmers and purchase of cattle.
