Balcomuz to manage paid parking in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  Balcomuz has won an auction for the right to organize and manage paid parking in Tashkent, offering a record sum of 120.15 billion soums, more than double the initial starting price.

The auction, held on 25 November on the E-auksion platform, lasted 2 hours and 10 minutes, during which 22 bids were made. Balcomuz, which offered the highest bid, won with an offer 2.1 times higher than the starting price of 57.2 billion soums.

The company was founded in January 2020 and is primarily involved in the restaurant business and food delivery services.

According to the official website, Balcomuz was established in 2019 and positions itself as an innovative company combining Japanese traditions with modern business models in Uzbekistan’s rapidly developing economy. Completed projects include Central Park, Oxygen Development, and Balcomsoft IT, among others.

The company’s founders are Japanese-based BALCOM COMPANY LTD (60%), along with Avazbek Nuriddinov (20%), Bobur Akramov, and Anvar Khoshimov (10% each). The company’s authorized capital is 4.07 billion soums.

In October, Tashkent’s khokim (mayor) Shavkat Umurzakov signed a decree for the creation of paid parking spaces on the city streets.

By the end of August 2025, the city plans to establish 13,200 paid parking spots, with a long-term goal of expanding this to 84,000. Additionally, the authorities plan to implement a unified automated parking management system by the end of this year. Users will be charged based on parking zones, with a minimum rate of 5,000 soums per hour and a maximum rate of 12,000 soums.
