Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Youth Policy and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan Adkham Ikramov and Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan Oybek Kasimov are in Baku on a working visit these days.
Officials will attend the 7th International Congress of Ministers and Senior Officials for Physical Culture and Sports (MINEPS VII), which will be held in this city from 26 to 29 June. The meeting is attended by delegates from more than 50 countries.
During the event, a number of agreements were reached to further strengthen cooperation in the sports field. In particular, Adkham Ikramov held a meeting with Iranian Minister of Sports and Youth Hamid Sajjadi. It is worth noting that a few days ago the Presidents of both countries held a meeting between themselves in Tehran.
During the conversation, issues such as the continuation of the friendly policy of the leaders of states in the field of sports, the exchange of experience were discussed in detail.
Also, A. Ikramov and O. Kasimov met with the Minister of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan Farid Gayibov and the Secretary General of the country’s Olympic Committee Azer Aliyev. During the conversation, one of the key topics on the agenda was the strengthening and strengthening of mutual cooperation between the two countries.
According to the plan, meetings with sports leaders from a number of countries will also be organized during the visit.
