Bakhtiyor Saidov meets with EU Commissioner for International Partnerships
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of the ongoing strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the European Union, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, held a meeting with EU Commissioner for International Partnerships, Jozef Sikela.
During the talks, the parties discussed key aspects of bilateral cooperation, including economic engagement, investment attraction, and regional stability.
Bakhtiyor Saidov emphasized that the European Union remains one of Uzbekistan’s most important and reliable partners. “We are committed to further deepening our cooperation with the EU, which is aimed at achieving shared prosperity and sustainable development,” he stated.
A key topic of discussion was the upcoming summit in Samarkand, which is expected to be a milestone in strengthening Uzbekistan-EU relations. The event will open new opportunities for closer ties between Uzbekistan and European nations, while also fostering dialogue on pressing regional and global issues.
Both sides expressed confidence that the continued development of their partnership would contribute not only to economic growth but also to enhanced stability in Central Asia and beyond.
