Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Bakhdir Kurbnov has been elected as the President of the Uzbekistan Football Association, according to the organization’s press service.

He was the only candidate for the position. The candidacy, proposed by the members of the Association, passed a compliance check with the Electoral Code and the Statute of the UFA with the participation of members of the Electoral Commission.

In accordance with Article 30, Paragraph 4 of the Statute, the delegates nominated Bakhdir Kurbnov’s candidacy, after which he was officially elected president of the Association.

Bakhdir Kurbnov is the head of the State Security Service of Uzbekistan.

He replaced Abdusalom Azizov, who left the position in January 2025.
