Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Aziz Voitov held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to Uzbekistan Alison Mary Leclerc, during which he discussed the development of promising areas in agriculture between Canada and Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the parties considered the possibilities of joint work on the exchange of experience, namely:

On the financing of the agricultural sector. The Ministry of Agriculture is ready to establish an experience exchange program with Canada’s largest company, Farm Credit Canada.

For the production of grain products - the use of Canadian experience in the cultivation of wheat, rapeseed, corn and other products.

In addition, the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan proposed to jointly organize a business mission of leading Canadian companies in the field of agriculture to get acquainted with the prospects for expanding the presence of Canadian partners in Uzbekistan.

“We are especially interested in attracting companies for the production and processing of dairy products in Uzbekistan, as well as studying experience in creating cooperation for the production of milk and dairy products,” Aziz Voitov emphasized.
