Aziz Tashpulatov appointed as Uzbekistan’s Minister of Internal Affairs
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A new Minister of Internal Affairs has been appointed in Uzbekistan.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree appointing Aziz Tashpulatov to the position.
Prior to his appointment, he headed the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Tashkent. Before that, he served as First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs from 2019 to 2020.
His candidacy was preliminarily approved by the deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis.
Aziz Tashpulatov replaces Pulat Bobojonov, who had led the ministry since September 2017.
