Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Aziz Abdukhakimov visited a construction site of the mountain resort “Amirsoy” in Bostanlyk district of Tashkent region.

Aziz Abdukhakimov chaired the meeting at the construction site of Amirsoy resort, which is the first ski resort in Uzbekistan with world standards of comfort and safety.

The meeting was held on slopes of the Maygashkan mountain, the Beldersay tract. This territory is a part of the Free-Tourist Zone “Charvak”, creation of which was initiated by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the end of last year.

During the meeting, the representative of the managing company PGI Management, H. Antonio (Andorra) held a presentation of the resort infrastructure. The total cost of the project is more than 100 million euros.

The main idea of “Amirsoy” is to create a unique infrastructure and provide a first-class service, which will delight visitors from small to large at any time of the year. It is also important that the conditions will be created for both professionals and amateurs of active recreation, as well as for beginners conquerors of peaks and children.

In total, 28 ski slopes with various degrees of complexity and a total length of more than 21 kilometers, 7 ski lifts, equipment rental outlets, a snowboard park, a sports school, summer campuses, open areas, restaurants, residential and service infrastructure will be constructed.

The first stage of the resort, worth more than 30 million euros, will be launched in the winter season of 2018-2019. It is planned to launch 13 ski slopes with a length of more than 12 kilometers, two cableways, a helicopter pad, a residential town of 21 “chalets”, two restaurants, an instructor school, a multifunctional center with rental points for ski and other equipment.

The acquisition of snow-making systems, snow-sealing equipment from the world’s leading manufacturers is planned. More than 300 jobs will be created at the first stage of the project.

Mr. Abdukhakimov also got acquainted with the work done on Amirsoy by the world leader in the production of cable cars - Doppelmayer (Austria). Its representative A.Kuprin demonstrated the created technological route, along which 19 reinforced concrete poles are planned to be installed.

At the top of the resort with a mark of 2292 meters will be the upper station of the gondola eight-seat road. In October, it is planned to test two cableways.

During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister drew particular attention to the need to create reliable engineering and communication systems, without which a full and uninterrupted functioning of the resort is impossible. In particular, Aziz Abdukhakimov inspected the construction of two artificial reservoirs designed to provide the resort with water supply.

In addition, problematic issues were discussed that require immediate solutions for the timely launch of the first phase of the project. With the active assistance of the Deputy Prime Minister, as well as the Khokimiyat of Tashkent region, the issues on the construction of an access road and providing the resort with electricity were solved on the spot.
