Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the invitation of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Aziz Abdukhakimov, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors of foreign countries and representatives of the diplomatic corps in Uzbekistan visited the State committee for tourism development.
At the beginning of the meeting, Aziz Abdukhakimov expressed his sincere gratitude for the constant cooperation and efforts to comprehensively develop relations between the countries, including in the field of tourism, cultural heritage and sports.
The guests were informed about the work carried out by the Government of Uzbekistan to mitigate the consequences of the pandemic and support the tourism sector, rapid recovery and search for new growth points.

The participants of the event were also familiarized with the activities of the Silk Road International Tourism University in Samarkand, created on the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as well as the library at the university.
At the end of the event, the parties discussed issues of further strengthening cooperation in the field of tourism, exchange of information on mitigating the consequences of the pandemic. Representatives of the diplomatic corps of foreign countries expressed their readiness to intensify cooperation on the discussed initiatives and projects.
The event was attended by ambassadors and diplomats from countries such as Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Japan, Israel, Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Pakistan, India, Iran, R. Korea, Azerbaijan and Italy.
