Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis approved Aziz Abdukhakimov for the post of Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of Uzbekistan.

By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to transform the sphere of ecology and environmental protection and organize the activities of the authorized state body”, the Ministry of Natural Resources was renamed to the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change.

At the next meeting of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, the deputies considered the candidacy of Aziz Abdukhakimov for the post of Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Abdukhakimov provided information on his program of actions to be implemented in the future in order to improve the environmental situation and ensure the effectiveness of reforms in the field of environmental protection.

The deputies approved the candidacy of Aziz Abdukhakimov for the post of Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of Uzbekistan.
