Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 10 September 2024, a meeting took place between the leaders of the "Uzaviasiya" Agency and the "Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan" (AAK).
The meeting addressed the joint initiative to create the "Eurasian Civil Aviation Conference" (EACAC), involving Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Moldova, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. They also discussed important issues related to strengthening cooperation between the agencies on flight safety.
At the initial stage, EACAC will serve as an informal inter-agency technical organization, allowing for more prompt discussions on the future concept and framework of interaction between aviation authorities, flexible decision-making, and achieving consensus.
EACAC will provide a consultative platform to strengthen our positions on the international stage and lay the groundwork for joint intergovernmental initiatives in civil aviation.
Following the meeting, the parties signed a document of intent to establish the "Eurasian Civil Aviation Conference" (EACAC).
