Average monthly nominal accrued wages in Uzbekistan makes up 1.68 million soums

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In January-September 2018, the average monthly nominal accrued wages in the Republic of Uzbekistan made up 1.68 million soums (including wage premiums, remuneration, incentive payments, compensation payments and unearned time payments, as well as tax on individuals on income, contributions to social insurance and to the trade union fund) and increased, compared to the same period in 2017, by 22.9%.

 

In the field of education, 998,200 people work in 21,858 institutions (the share of the total number of employees in the republic reached 38.3%), the wage fund reached 11.46 trillion soums (the share in the wage fund in the republic is 29%).

In this sphere, the average monthly nominal accrued wages amounted to 1.27 million soums and increased, compared to the same period of 2017, by 17.1%.

The average monthly nominal wage in the context of the regions, the highest level is observed in Tashkent city – 1.58 million soums (+23.9% of the average national indicator), Jizzakh region – 1.37 million soums (+7,8%), Tashkent region – 1.33 million soums (+4.2%), Ferghana region – 1.17 million soums (-8.3%), Kashkadarya region – 1.17 million soums (-7.8%).

In industry, 457,100 people work at 603 enterprises (the share of the total number of workers in the republic is 17,5%), the wage fund reached 10.49 trillion soums (the share in the wage fund in the republic is 26.5% ). Here, the average monthly nominal wage is equal to 2.55 million soums and increased, compared to the same period in 2017, by 28.6%.

The highest level of average monthly nominal accrued wages by regions was observed in Tashkent city – 3.06 million soums (+20% of the national average), in the Republic of Karakalpakstan – 3.05 million soums (+19.9%), Navoi region – 3.03 million soums (+18.9%), Tashkent region – 2,67 million soums (+5%). The smallest figure among the regions was recorded in in Namangan region – 1.58 million soums and Jizzakh -1.68 million soums.

In the field of health care and social services in 1414 institutions, there are 431,400 employees (the proportion of the total number of workers in the republic is 16.5%), the wage fund reached 4.21 trillion soums (the share in the wage fund in the republic – 10.7%). In this sphere, the average monthly nominal accrued wages reached 1.08 million soums and increased, as compared with the same period of 2017, by 17.7%.

The highest level of average monthly nominal accrued wages was observed in Tashkent city – 1.29 million soums (+19.6% of national average), Bukhara region – 1.19 million soums (+9.9%), the Republic of Karakalpakstan – 1.18 million soums (+9.4%), Syrdarya region – 1.16 million soums (6,9%), and in Kashkadarya region - 937,600 soums  and Samarkand region – 1 million soums below the national average.

In the field of transportation and storage in 203 organizations 115,700 people work (the share in the total number of workers in the republic is 4.4%), the wage fund is 2.45 trillion soums (the share in the payroll in the republic 6.2%). In this sphere, the average monthly nominal accrued wages reached 2.36 million soums and increased, compared to the same period of 2017, by 23.7%.

The highest salaries were registered in Tashkent city – 2.86 million soums, Khorezm region – 2.36 million soums, below the national average in Andijan – 1.09 million soums and Samarkand – 1.16 million soums regions.

In the area of finance and insurance, 67,200 people work in 172 institutions (the share of the total number of employees in the republic is 2.6%), the wages fund is 1.94 trillion soums (the share in republic was 4.9%). In this area, the average monthly nominal accrued wages amounted to 3.21 million soums and increased, compared to the same period of 2017, by 27.6%.

In January-September 2018, compared to the same period in 2017, the largest growth in nominal accrued wages by economic activity was observed in the field of information and communication - by 33%, industry - by 28.6%, construction - by 28.6%, financial and insurance activities - by 27.6%.

The highest level of average monthly nominal accrued wages was observed in Tashkent city – 2.36 million soums, Navoi region – 2.21 million soums (+31.5% ) and Tashkent region – 1.88 million soums (+12%),  the lowest indicator was in Namangan region – 1.31 million soums and Samarkand region – 1.34 million soums (79,7%).
