Average monthly nominal accrued salary makes up 2.32m soums in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In January-December 2019, the average monthly nominal accrued salary in the Republic of Uzbekistan made up 2.32 million soums and increased by 27.5% compared to the same period of 2018.

The average monthly nominal accrued salary is significantly lower than the national average in the areas of health and social services - by 34%, accommodation and catering services - by 24.6%, and education - by 20.8%. Significantly higher than the national average, it is observed in banking, insurance, leasing and credit intermediary activities - by 106.4%, in information and communications-by 70.9%.

The results of the analysis showed that the growth of the average monthly nominal accrued salary, compared with the corresponding period of 2018, was observed in all types of economic activities. Thus, significant growth was registered in the sphere of accommodation and food services - by 40.1%, banking, insurance, leasing and credit intermediary activities-by 37.2%, and education – by 33.3%.

In some regions, a relatively low level of nominal accrued wages, compared with the average national level, has developed in a number of activities. Thus, in Jizzakh region, it was lower than the national average in industry by 36.4%, construction by 28.2%, transportation and storage by 49.2%, and information and communications by 49.1%. In Samarkand region, respectively, in trade - by 30.5%, transportation and storage - by 49.1%, information and communications - by 51.7%, and other activities - by 17.5%. In Fergana region, respectively, banking, insurance, leasing, and credit intermediary activities increased by 23.5%, education by 8.0%, and health and social services by 5.9%.

In the field of education, the average monthly nominal accrued salary reached 1.84 million soums and increased by 33.3% compared to the same period in 2018.

Above the average republican level, the average monthly nominal accrued salary in this area was established in city of Tashkent - 131.1%, Tashkent region - 103.1%, Jizzakh region - 101.5%, Syrdarya region - 101.0% and Namangan region - 100.8%.

Along with this, in nine regions of the country, the level of average monthly nominal accrued wages in this area was lower than the national average. Significantly lower than the average monthly nominal accrued wage for education was in Surkhandarya - 95.4%, Khorezm - 93.9%, Fergana - 92.0% and Kashkadarya - 90.5% regions compared with the republican average.

In a number of regions, there was a high level of average monthly nominal accrued wages in this area. It is higher than the national average in Navoi region - 121.3%, Tashkent city - 115.5%, the Republic of Karakalpakstan region - 108.9%, Tashkent region - 107.6% and Andijan region - 103.3%.

At the same time, in nine regions, the average monthly nominal accrued salary was lower than the national average in this area. The average monthly nominal accrued salary for this type of economic activity is significantly lower in Surkhandarya region - 70.8%, Jizzakh region - 63.6%, and Syrdarya region - 61.9% and Namangan region - 59.4%.

In comparison with the average national level, for such economic activities as health care and social services, a relatively high level of average monthly nominal accrued wages was formed in Tashkent city – 119.1%, Bukhara region – 111.7%, the Republic of Karakalpakstan – 110.8%, Syrdarya region – 108.9% and Khorezm region – 106.4%.

In nine regions, the average monthly nominal accrued salary was lower than the national average in this area. In particular, it was lower in Navoi region – 95.6%, Fergana region – 94.1%, Tashkent region – 93.4% and Kashkadarya region – 81.0%.

In this area, the level of the average monthly nominal accrued salary, compared to the national average, was significantly higher in Tashkent city - 121.7%, and it was also higher than the average monthly salary in Bukhara region - 100.6%.

At the same time, in twelve regions of the country, the average monthly nominal accrued salary in this area was lower than the national average. The average monthly wage in the field of transportation and storage is low in Syrdarya region (52.0%), Samarkand region (50.9%), Jizzakh region (50.8%), and Andijan region (41.5%), which is significantly lower than the national average.

A high level of the average monthly nominal accrued salary in this area, compared with the national average, was observed in Tashkent city – 130.7%.

In thirteen regions, the average monthly nominal accrued salary in this area was lower than the national average. It is significantly lower in Kashkadarya region – 76.9%, Fergana region – 76.5%, Surkhandarya region – 75.5% and Syrdarya region – 73.5%.

In the Republic as a whole, in January-December 2019, compared to the same period of 2018, the average monthly nominal accrued salary in the sphere of accommodation and catering services increased by 40.1%, banking, insurance, leasing and credit intermediary services – by 37.2%, education – by 33.3%, health and social services – by 31.0%, trade – by 24.7%, art, entertainment and recreation – by 22.6%, industry – by 21.3%, construction – by 20.5%, information and communications – by 19.3%.%, transportation and storage – by 18.4%.

In the field of education, the average monthly nominal accrued salary in October 2019 was 2.02 million soums, in November – 2.08 million, in December – 2.29 million soums.

In the industrial sector, the average monthly nominal accrued salary in October 2019 was 3.54 million soums, in November – 3.43 million, in December – 4.5 million soums.

In the sphere of health and social services, the average monthly nominal accrued salary in October 2019 was 1.64 million soums, in November – 1.57 million, in December – 1.69 million soums.

In banking, insurance, leasing, and credit intermediary activities, the average monthly nominal accrued salary in October 2019 was 5.05 million soums, in November – 4.74 million soums, and in December – 8.37 million soums.

In the field of transportation and storage, the average monthly nominal accrued salary in October 2019 was 3.2 million soums, in November – 3.35 million soums, in December – 3.65 million soums.

If we consider the average monthly nominal accrued wages by regions, the highest level was in Tashkent – 3.38 million soums (145.4% of the average republican level), Navoi – 2.96 million soums (127.4%) and Tashkent – 2.55 million soums (109.9%) regions.

The lowest level of average monthly nominal accrued wages was observed in the Samarkand (1.91 million soums), Ferghana (1.89 million soums), Namangan (1.87 million soums) and Surkhandarya (1.87 million soums) regions. In these regions, the average monthly nominal accrued salary was lower than the national average by 17.9 %, 18.6 %, 19.3% and 19.3%, respectively.

In order to determine the average salary using structural methods, in 2019, the form of statistical monitoring of the salaries of employees of legal entities and their divisions in November, excluding agricultural enterprises, small businesses and non-governmental non-profit organizations, was improved.

The results of the analysis showed that out of 2 413.7 thousand people who fully worked in November, the largest number of employees - 36.4% - earned wages from one to two minimum wages, from two to three minimum wages accrued wages - 22.2% of employees, from three to four minimum wages accrued wages - 15.1% of employees.
