Australian envoy, Uzbek Foreign Ministry officials discuss bilateral ties
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Australia to Uzbekistan Margaret Twomey held a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan on 12 May 2011, the Uzbek ministry said in a statement.
The sides exchanged opinion on regional and international issues. The sides underlined dynamic development of the Uzbek-Australian cooperation within the international organizations, including the United Nations.
Taking into account potential of two states and advanced experience and technologies of Australian companies, it was said that there is real chance to deepen mutual beneficial cooperation in trade-economy and investment sectors.
The sides also considered other issues of mutual interest.
