Senators reviewed a law “On introduction of changes to some legislative acts of Uzbekistan in connection with reorganization of the state antimonopoly body”.

The document was developed in order to execute presidential decree from 26 February 2010 “On measures on further improving system of antimonopoly regulation and development of competition” and presidential resolution from 2 March 2010 “On organization of activity of the State Committee of Uzbekistan on demonopolization and development of competition”.

In line with the presidential decree, the Association of Small Business Enterprises and Private Entrepreneurship was created. The Association will work on supporting entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan.

During discussion, Senators underlined that the transfer of functions on support of entrepreneurship from the state body to non-state organization is one of examples of works, which Uzbekistan carries out to form strong civil society.

The law approved envisages introduction of some changes and amendments to some legal acts of Uzbekistan.
