Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- During a working visit to Italy, the chairman of the Ucharmsanoat Association, Fakhriddin Boboev, met with Mateo Scarparo, head of the global trade and business department of Assocalzaturifici.

"Assocalzaturifici" is the national association representing industrial footwear manufacturers in Italy. It consists of about 500 companies owning well-known brands. The company has 72,000 employees and exports 85% of its products abroad.

The Uzbek side held a presentation of the leather and footwear industry of Uzbekistan, development prospects, and created conditions for business representatives.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed the possibilities of establishing bilateral cooperation in the footwear industry. Assocalzaturifici will also assist Uzbek enterprises in establishing business contacts with Italian shoe brands.
