Assets of Uzbek banks exceed 185 trillion soums

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The assets of commercial banks of Uzbekistan as of 1 July 2018 made up 185.09 trillion soums, which is 79.1% higher compared to the same period of 2017, according to the data of the Central Bank.

The total capital of the banking sector in the reporting period increased by 124.4% and reached 23.52 trillion soums.

The liabilities of banks exceeded 161.57 trillion soums as of 1 July 2018, which is 74% more than in the same period of 2017.

Credit investments of the banks increased by 92.5% - to 134.61 trillion soums in the reporting period. The volume of attracted deposits as of 1 July 2018 made up 61.01 trillion soums, which is 49.6% higher compared to the same period of 2017.

The National Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan (NBU) is the leader in terms of assets with the volume of 51.54 trillion soums (the share in total assets was 27.8%). Asaka Bank (25.97 trillion soums, share - 14%) and Uzpromstroybank (25.97 trillion soums, share - 14%) entered the top three in terms of assets.

NBU (5.47 trillion soums), Asaka Bank (3.11 trillion soums) and Uzpromstroybank (2.28 trillion soums) are the leaders in terms of capital.
