Assets of commercial banks of Uzbekistan exceed 207.62 trillion soums

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As of 1 December 2018, the assets of Uzbekistan’s commercial banks made up 207.62 trillion soums, which is 25.3% higher compared to the same period of 2017, according to data of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.

Credit investments of banks in Uzbekistan grew by 48.2% in the reporting period and amounted to 161.02 trillion soums as of 1 December 2018.

The volume of deposits as of 1 December 2018 exceeded 69.12 trillion soums, which is 17.8% higher compared to the same period of 2017.

The total capital of commercial banks of Uzbekistan as of 1 December 2018 reached 26.02 trillion soums, which is 30.2% more compared to the same period of 2017.

The National Bank of Uzbekistan (56.07 trillion soums or 27% of all assets of the banking sector of Uzbekistan), Uzpromstroybank (29.3 trillion soums or 14.1%) and Asaka Bank (29.04 trillion soums or 14%) were leaders in terms of assets.

The same banks were leading in terms of loans. The National Bank of Uzbekistan provided loans for 44.96 trillion soums (27.9% of total loans), Uzpromstroybank - 26.52 trillion (16.5%) and Asaka Bank - 23.74 trillion soums (14.7%).

The three leaders in terms of capital also included the National Bank of Uzbekistan (5.7 trillion soums or 21.9% of total capital), Asaka Bank (3.1 trillion soums or 11.9%) and Uzpromstroybank (2.6 trillion soums or 10%).

The National Bank of Uzbekistan (12.84 trillion soums or 18.6% of total deposits attracted), Asaka Bank (6.56 trillion soums or 9.5%) and Uzpromstroybank (4.46 trillion soums or 6.5 %) entered the Top-3 by volume of attracted deposits.
