Assets of commercial banks of Uzbekistan exceed 202.31 trillion soums

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As of 1 October 2018, the assets of Uzbekistan’s commercial banks made up 202.31 trillion soums, which is 25.5% higher compared to the same period of 2017, according to data of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.

Credit investments of banks in Uzbekistan increased by 44.2% in the reporting period and amounted to 151.31 trillion soums as of 1 October 2018.

The volume of deposits as of 1 October 2018 exceeded 67.35 trillion soums, which is 15.4% higher compared to the same period of 2017.

The total capital of commercial banks of Uzbekistan as of 1 October 2018 reached 25.05 trillion soums, which is 55.5% more compared to the same period of 2017.

The National Bank of Uzbekistan (54.18 trillion soums or 26.8% of all assets of the banking sector of Uzbekistan), Asaka Bank (28.69 trillion soums or 14.2%) and Uzpromstroybank (28.65 trillion soums or 14, 2%) became the leaders in terms of assets.

The same banks were leading in terms of loans. The National Bank of Uzbekistan provided loans for 41.36 trillion. soums (27.3% of total loans), Uzpromstroybank - 24.34 trillion soums (16.1%) and Asaka Bank - 22.26 trillion soums (14.7%).

Top-3 in terms of capital also included the National Bank of Uzbekistan (5.5 trillion soums or 22% of total capital), Asaka Bank (3.13 trillion soums or 12.5%) and Uzpromstroybank (2.27 trillion). sums or 9.1%).

The National Bank of Uzbekistan (12.51 trillion soums or 18.6% of total deposits attracted), Asaka Bank (7.61 trillion soums or 11.3%) and Uzpromstroybank (5.19 trillion soums or 7.7 %) entered the Top-3 by volume of attracted deposits.
