Assets of commercial banks exceed 184.6 trillion. sums
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As of 1 June 2018, the assets of commercial banks in Uzbekistan exceeded 184.68 trillion soums, which is 91.2% higher compared to the same period of 2017.

According to the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, the aggregate capital of banks increased by 130.9% in the reporting period and made up 23.458 trillion soums.

Credit investments of the banks as of 1 June 2018 reached 132.1 trillion. soums, which is 57.8% more compared to the same period in 2017.

The Central Bank noted that 33.5% of credit investments or 22.14 trillion soums was sent to industry, 12.3% or 8.1 trillion soums - to transport and communications, 8.2% or 5.43 trillion soums - to agriculture, 7.2% or 4.73 trillion soums - to trade and public services, etc.

Commercial banks of Uzbekistan allocated 12.99 trillion soums of loans to individuals, representing 19.7% of total volume of credit investments as of 1 June 2018.

The volume of attracted deposits increased by 61.2% and amounted to 62.99 trillion soums in the period under review.

As of 1 June 2018, the National Bank of Uzbekistan (51.75 trillion soums, or 28% of all assets of the banking sector of Uzbekistan), Asaka Bank (26.39 trillion soums or 14.3%) and Uzpromstroybank (25.43 trillion soums or 13.8%) were leading on the volume of the assets.

The National Bank of Uzbekistan (38.07 trillion soums or 28.8% of total loans), Asaka Bank (19.8 trillion soums or 15%) and Uzpromstroybank (21.45 trillion soums or 16.2%) are also leaders on the volume of allocated loans.

The National Bank of Uzbekistan (5.36 trillion soums or 22.9% of total capital), Asaka Bank (3.15 trillion soums or 13.5%) and Uzpromstroybank (2.29% trillion soums or 9.8%) were among three leading banks on the volume of capital

The National Bank of Uzbekistan (11.89 trillion soums or 18.9% of the total volume of attracted loans), Asaka Bank (7.42 trillion soums or 11.8%) and Uzpromstroybank (4.37 trillion soums or 6.9% %) were in Top-3 in terms of attracted deposits.
