Asrlar Sadosi Festival 2013 Agenda
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- This year Asrlar Sadosi (The Echo of Century) Festival of Traditional Culture has a strong scientific focus. Tashkent will host a roundtable on the role of culture in sustainable development, followed by a conference on architectural epigraphy and a book presentation in Bukhara.

The folk part of the Festival will take place in the Sarmishsai Gorge (Navoi Region) and will include an applied art fair, traditional games, music and dance performances by folk groups representing various Uzbek regions, a National Cuisine Festival and an aroma-filled National Cuisine Festival. The fest will culminate in a gala concert, with international visitors in attendance.

15.00-17.30 – Roundtable “Development Program for the period after 2015. The Role of Culture in Sustainable Development”.

May 4

10.00 - 19.00 - Folk festivities, folk music group performances, applied art fair, national games:
- Kurash national wrestling. Venue: the Sarmishsai Gorge;
- Traditional rooster fights. Venue: the Sarmishsai Gorge;

15.00 – Conference “The Architectural Epigraphy of Uzbekistan in the Context of Cultural and Spiritual Legacy: Research, Discovery and Prospects”.
Venue: Bahauddin Naqshband Memorial Complex, Kagan District, Bukhara Region;

18.00 – Book presentation “Architectural Epigraphy in Bukhara, Navoi, Andijan, Namangan, Khiva and Karakalpakstan”. Scholarship awards ceremony as part of the Spiritual Enlightenment Support Program.

19.30 – Charity dinner.
