Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - At the forty-fifth plenary meeting of the Senate, senators considered the Law “On amendments to certain legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with the formation of a unified system of republican executive bodies.”

As is known, in accordance with the Decree “On measures to implement administrative reforms of New Uzbekistan,” a comprehensive system of republican executive authorities has been introduced, including ministries, committees, departments and inspections.

In turn, as part of administrative reforms, the form of “state committee” of the republican executive authorities was abolished, ministries were created on the basis of existing state committees or they were reorganized into the form of a committee, agency or inspectorate and they were transferred to the organizational subordination of the relevant ministries.

This document, which was discussed at the plenary meeting of the Senate, amends the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, providing for the exclusion of the concept of “state committees of the Republic of Uzbekistan” from the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

These changes serve to ensure the implementation of the first stage of administrative reforms of New Uzbekistan, as well as the formation of a unified system of republican executive authorities, based on the principles of professional management and result-oriented.

Corresponding changes have also been made to the Law “On the openness of the activities of public authorities and management bodies”.

In accordance with Article 5 of this law, an amendment was made according to which information on the activities of public authorities and management includes relevant information on the use of budgetary allocations, funds from extra-budgetary funds of budgetary organizations, on competitions (tenders) held and the delivery of purchased goods, on the achievement of established targets indicators of ministries and departments at the expense of budgetary and extra-budgetary funds, as well as on the use of funds in the context of items of economic classification of expenditures, posted by ministries, departments, state trust funds and other managers of budgetary funds on their official websites.

The law was approved by senators.
