Style.Uz project is a crossroads of arts, traditions and modernity. For four years now the Week impresses with its scale and dynamics, variety of its events and attracts more and more attention of the world’s most famous figures.
The project gathers large number of guests worldwide in such cultural centers of Central Asia as Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, and Tashkent, a pearl of modern Uzbekistan. The organizers noted that Art Week fashion shows serves as inspiration to creation of new collections of such brands as Gucci, Messoni, Galliano, Oscar de la Renta and other European designers.
Art-Week Style.uz-2010 includes defile from leading designers of Uzbekistan and foreign fashion houses, National Cloth Festival, Undergound young designers show, conference and archeological exhibition from Meros Antiquary Association, gala-concert and other events.
Art-Week will be opened with International Photo Biennale and presentation of the special exhibitions of foreign painters. It is also planned to hold master classes of famous painters, designers, masters and others.
This year, it is expected that Salvatore Ferragamo (Italy), Hugo Boss (Germany), Max Mara (Italy), Balmain (Switzerland), Brioni (Italy), designer Igor Chapurin (Russia), Agatha Ruiz de la Prada (Spain), Dominico Vacca (USA), Basso & Brooke, London College of Fashion (UK), Stuttgart Fashion school (Germany) and others will visit Style.uz.
About 100 guests from among the world known designers, public figures, specialists in the sphere of fashion and arts, chief-editors of international vogue magazines, famous stars, as well as fashion brands visit and participate each year in Style.Uz Weeks. In general the events of the Art Week are attended by more than 10,000 visitors.
The Art Week is a great opportunity for the Week’s young participants and all who works in the project – photographers, musicians, producers and many others, to show off themselves. It is an opportunity to create and to be seen, an opportunity for them to become a personality they want to be tomorrow - today. Providing a platform for young fashion and art professionals as well as our traditional craftsmen the Week gives them the possibility for further development within the fashion world. Young talents support, providing grants for textile and weaving masters, who build their activities on reviving of ancient professional techniques – is what Style.Uz is making its main efforts in. And, what is probably the most important, young participants, grant holders, designers of the national dress and other participants, who have the possibility to attend all events in frames of the Week, have a chance to exchange ideas and learn from world known and established specialists.
