Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From January to August 2024, approximately 242,880 passenger cars were produced in Uzbekistan, according to data from the State Statistics Agency.
During this period, UzAuto Motors produced 102,050 Cobalt cars, marking a 56.0% increase compared to the same period in 2023. Production of Gentra cars amounted to 12,837 units, reflecting a significant decrease of 75.6%. Meanwhile, the company produced 59,545 Damas cars, which is 13.3% more than the previous year.
Additionally, UzAuto Motors manufactured 27,454 Tracker cars (an increase of 12.2%) and 21,607 Onix cars (up 16.6%).
During the reporting period, 5,190 Chery cars were produced in Uzbekistan (a 19.2% decrease), 12,795 KIA cars (a 21.8% increase), 6 Lada cars, and 1,390 Haval cars.
Moreover, the country’s enterprises produced 17,321 specialized passenger cars, showing a 26.4% increase compared to last year.
