Around 16,000 law enforcement officers to be deployed to ensure security at mosques

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – About 10,846 employees of the internal affairs bodies, 2,653 employees of the National Guard and 2,252 employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations will be involved in ensuring security in mosques where holiday prayers will be held, Muzifa Sultanova, head of the information service of the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, announced this at a briefing.

On 28 June, in 2058 mosques from 05:00 to 06:20 in connection with the celebration of Eid al-Adha, festive prayers will be held, in which more than 2,200,000 citizens are expected to participate.

In order to protect public order and ensure the safety of citizens in the regions, 3,318 reserve forces have been created.

The movement of vehicles on the roads around the mosques will also be temporarily limited, and separate parking lots will be organized 150 meters away.
