Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The curtains have gone down on the AFC U-13 Festival of Football on Sunday in the Uzbek capital here which had maintained its high quality with the participants having gained invaluable experience.

Speaking during the closing ceremony, AFC Grassroots and Youth Director John Whittle said: “I am pleased that this year's festival was held at the same high level as in previous years.

“I would like to express special thanks to the Uzbekistan Football Federation (UFF), which, in cooperation with the Asian Football Confederation, did a tremendous job in organising not only such festivals, but also other competitions under the auspices of the AFC.

“I think that all participants in our activities have gained experience, which is useful to them in the future. And maybe in a few years among the participants of the festival today we will see the future world stars,” he said.
