Anzhi said that the club signed the contract with Odil Ahmedov till 2015. 23-year old Ahmedov has been playing on loan at Anzhi.
At the same time, Pakhtakor Tashkent said that it kept part of ownership rights for Uzbekistan international. The sum of the deal was not disclosed.
Anzhi coach Gadji Gadjiev said Odil is useful both in defense and offense. He said Ahmedov is important in defensive game as he fights hard for balls and at the same time can deliver ball, dribble or shoot himself.
German Chistyakov, Anzhi director-general, said Odil Akhmedov became idol for Dagistani fans during his spell in the club. “We are happy that we can reach agreement with Pakhtakor and now the player will grow with his new team.”
In current season Odil Ahmedov participated in all official matches of Anzhi, including two Cup matches having scored a goal. (24 matches altogether).
